Denali Flightseeing
Mount McKinley, or Denali as she's known in Alaska, is a stunning sight. The tallest mountain in North America at 20,310 feet (6,190 meters), she towers far above all the surrounding mountains and is visible from both Anchorage and Fairbanks on clear days. This photo was shot at 11:11 am on August 27, 2002.

Many sources still use the figure 20,320 feet (6,194 meters) for Denali's height. That figure was first used in 1953 by mountaineer, photographer, and cartographer Bradford Washburn. In 2013, though, interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) technology changed the official height to 20,237 feet (6,168 meters), and the new figure was set in September 2015, based on GPS survey data.
