The History of Cube Cove

Cube Cove is located on the west coast of Admiralty Island, 26 miles north of Angoon in Southeast Alaska. It lies at approximately 57° 56' N Latitude, 134° 45' W Longitude . The community is located in the Juneau Recording District. The area encompasses 12 sq. miles of land and 5 sq. miles of water.

The name was first reported in 1951 by the U.S. Geological Survey. The area was first settled as a logging camp.
