The History of the
Whitestone Logging Camp
Whitestone Logging Camp is adjacent to Hoonah and Pelican in Southeast Alaska. It lies at approximately 58° 04' N Latitude, 135° 26' W Longitude . The community is located
in the Sitka Recording District. The area encompasses 8 sq. miles of land and 2 sq. miles of water.
Apart from the historical use of the area by Tlingits, the camp was first settled for logging operations.
