An Explorer's Guide to the Alaska Highway
The good old days in the Yukon. In about 1990, Ollie Worth (owner of Burwash Landing Lodge) had had enough of Kluane National Park being a no-road-access park, so climbed on a Cat and built a road up Halfbreed Creek. By the time Parks Canada found out about his project and put a stop to it, he had reached an impassable canyon anyway. I took my 1970 Blazer all the way up the road in August 1991.
