The next-to-final stop on the Gold Dredge 8 tour is the gold panning troughs, where it's fun to watch even the most jaded traveller get excited about seeing a few tint flakes of gold in the bottom of their pan. Yes, "gold fever" is real! The final stop is the adjacent gift shop, where successful panners (everyone is) can have their gold put into a necklace or other piece of jewelry.
