Hydraulic gold mining by the Atlin Consolidated Mining Company, ca. 1906. The largest operator in the area, it was owned by the Guggenheim family of New York. This is probably their Pine Creek property before they brought in a dredge.

This menu, which could be folded and mailed as a postcard, was used at the Atlin Inn in the 1920s. The large hotel, which operated from 1916 until 1936,
was owned by the British Yukon Navigation Company, a division of the White Pass & Yukon Route.

The Pioneer Cemetery is one of the major historic attractions.

The historic lake boat Atlintoo remains on the beach in downtown Atlin, beside the Tarahne. She is believed to have been built for the British Yukon Navigation Company at
Carcross in 1917 as a work boat and supply launch.

Some of the historic buildings along Pearl Avenue. The occasion that brought so many people out in April 2002 was a concert in the restored Globe Theatre by the
Whitehorse Community Choir.

Looking up Pearl Avenue in about 1924. The photo was taken by Atlin photographer Gilbert Taylor -
his "shingle" is hanging outside the house on the right. This postcard is in the collection of Carolyn Moore, who sent us this image.

St. Martin's Anglican Church. Rev. F. L. Stephenson arrived in Atlin in 1899 as the first Anglican minister. He led the move to build this church, and was able to hold Easter services in the new church in 1900. Bishop Bompas consecrated it in 1901, and the following year the bell tower was added.
