From the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner of September 10, 1970:
"Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian Church in Skagway, on August 14th, for Judeen Kay Simonsen [note surname spelling is different than on headstone], three-year-old daughter of Aaron and Bonnye Simonsen. Little Judeen passed away in a Seattle hospital on August 10, following heart surgery. Services were conducted by Rev. Kanneth Green, Mrs. Barbara Moore sang "Lullaby," accompanied by Mrs. Edna Kulting at the organ. Burial was in the new cemetery which is below the road on Skyline Drive approximately above the Tank Farm. This was the first use of the new cemetery."
