Headline: Rose Funeral Tuesday, 1965

    Funeral arrangements for 22-year-old Roth Rose, former Tagish resident who was killed in the Granduc mine disaster Feb. 18, were announced Friday.

    Mr. Rose will be buried in Whitehorse Tuesday, March 2. Services are to be held at Sacred Heart Cathedral at 10 a.m. with Father Rigaud officiating.

    Franklin Rose of Walnut Creek, California, father of the dead man, a brother Grover who is with the U.S. Air Force at Blaine, Washington, and a sister Merrily who also lives in California, are expected to arrive here today for the funeral.

    Two other surviving brothers, Jerry and Robby of Tagish, are already in Whitehorse.

    The dead man's widow, Mrs. Lynn Rose, and their seven-month-old daughter Terri Lynn, arrived from California a week ago and were met by his mother, Mrs. Archie Currie of Tagish.

    Roth Rose, who was born in California, had been at Stewart since last July.
