Headline: Local Man Dies Suddenly, 1961

    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. January 13 for the late John Scott, who died suddenly January 7 after a heart attack. Born March 10, 1903 in Glasgow, Scotland, Mr. Scott came to Canada in 1951 and had lived in the Yukon since about 1957.

    The Rev. Harry E. Waite will conduct the final rites at First Presbyterian Church and interment will follow at the old cemetary. Pall bearers will be William Reid, Robert Bates, Mel Crawford and Krist Johnson. W. J. Morris was in charge of final arrangements.



    A notice by the Public Administrator stated that Mr. Scott died at the Whitehorse General Hospital. His address was given as General Delivery, Whitehorse.
