Popular Yukoner, Alexander Seeley, Senior, died on Wednesday from a stroke at Whitehorse General Hospital.
The Masonic funeral service will be held in the Presbyterian Church on Friday at 2 pm.
Mr. Seeley is survived by his wife, Mabel Bernice and two sons living at Whitehorse, Lawrence and Alex., Junior.
Mr. and Mrs Seeley celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on July 29th. They were married at "The Traveller's Rest" at Last Chance, Yukon in 1913.
The couple's home at 205 Elliot Street was well-known for the magnificent gardens and flowers. They came to Whitehorse to live twelve years ago. Mr. Seeley originally came to the Yukon in July 4, 1903 when he went over the White Pass. He spent most of his life in Dawson City.
Mr. Seeley was the manager of the pool hall on First Avenue.
