The History of College

College is located 3 miles northwest of Fairbanks at mile 467.1 of the Alaska Railroad. It lies at approximately 64° 51' N Latitude, 147° 48' W Longitude . The community is located in the Fairbanks Recording District. The area encompasses 16 sq. miles of land and 0 sq. miles of water.

College was so named because it is the location of the University of Alaska at Fairbanks, established in 1915.
