The History of Eielson AFB

Eielson is 26 miles south of Fairbanks, off of the Alaska Highway, near the City of North Pole. It lies at approximately 64° 41' N Latitude, 147° 05' W Longitude . The community is located in the Fairbanks Recording District. The area encompasses 12 sq. miles of land and 1 sq. miles of water.
