The History of Fritz Creek

Fritz Creek lies 7 miles northeast of Homer on the north shore of Kachemak Bay, off the Sterling Highway. It lies at approximately 59° 41' N Latitude, 151° 22' W Longitude . The community is located in the Homer Recording District. The area encompasses 61 sq. miles of land and 24 sq. miles of water.

The local name was first reported in 1904 by R.W. Stone of the U.S. Geological Survey.
