The History of Happy Valley

Happy Valley lies on the west coast of the Kenai Peninsula on the Sterling Highway, 22 miles northwest of Homer, on Happy Valley Creek. It lies at approximately 59° 56' N Latitude, 151° 44' W Longitude . The community is located in the Homer Recording District. The area encompasses 34 sq. miles of land and 40 sq. miles of water.

The local name was reported and published by the U.S. Geological Survey in 1950.
