The History of Polk Inlet

Polk Inlet lies on the west coast of Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska. It lies at approximately 55° 25' N Latitude, 132° 28' W Longitude. The community is located in the Ketchikan Recording District. The area encompasses 13 sq. miles of land and 2 sq. miles of water.

The inlet was named by local fishermen and reported in 1904 by the USBF.
