For about 32 kilometers, the Alaska Highway and the Klondike Highway are the same road - from the Alaska Highway's junction with the South Klondike Highway to the junction with the North Klondike. Here at Km 1436 of the Alaska Highway is a rest area with some interpretive signs (see the text here), and just ahead, the junction with the North Klondike Highway.
