Wallace Lyle Speer
Lyle Speer was born in 1859, worked as a train baggageman for the White Pass & Yukon Route railroad, then from 1902 until 1904, was a bartender at the Monogram Liquor House. He went on to purchase his own saloon. There is a lot of information about Lyle and his wife Fannie R. Speer in the book "Saloons, Prostitutes, and Temperance in Alaska Territory" by Catherine Holder Spude. Lyle died on December 18, 1933.
