HANS GUNDERSON, OLDEST
OLD-TIMER IN ATLIN
DIES IN SANDS' STORE.

We much regret to report that Atlin's oldest old-timer, Hans Gunderson, dropped dead in Sands' store Thursday due to a heart attack. Norman Fisher, Otto Miller and Milton Fuller who happened to be in the store at the time rendered first aid but failed in their efforts to restore life.

The deceased was born in Norway seventy-six years ago and arrived in Atlin in 1898 where he was highly respected throughout the community. He leaves to mourn his loss his widow, five step-sons and a daughter to whom sincerest sympathy is extended in the great loss they have sustained.

LATE HANS GUNDERSON
LAID TO REST

The funeral service of the late Hans Gunderson was held at St. Martin's church on Sunday and was conducted by the Rev. R. P. Graham. The church was filled to capacity and many wreaths were in evidence from the deceased's many old time friends. The pastor spoke very kindly of the deceased while in life and his many sterlng qualities. Mrs. Frank Henning presided at the organ, the service closing with the hymn "Abide with Me."

Pallbearers consisted of the following oldtimers, Norman Fisher, Joe Yonaites, Bob Nelson, Al. Morrison, Walter Sweet and Clarence M. Sands.

The deceased was born in Arundel, Norway, and was 74 years of age, not 76 years as stated in our last issue of February 21.
