Caribou on the Alaska Highway
This young bull caribou was alongside the Alaska Highway at about Km 720, on August 30, 2011. I was on my motorcycle, and the caribou seemed to be more curious than afraid. I believe that the open mouth is like sheep, an attempt to get more information about what he's seeing.

Caribou beside the South Klondike Highway
This cow caribou was beside the South Klondike Highway just south of Carcross on May 11, 2012.

Caribou along the Top of the World Highway
This herd of caribou came to visit when I stopped my tour bus at the summit of the Top of the World Highway on July 15, 2011.

Caribou in Denali National Park
Large herds of caribou aren't commonly seen in Denali National Park, but this one was seen at Highway Pass on June 10, 2012.
