A Guide to Tombstone Mountain Campground, Yukon

by Murray Lundberg

Campgrounds & Rest Areas in the Yukon Territory

The Tombstone Mountain Campground, operated by Yukon Parks, is located at Km 71.5 of the Dempster Highway, Yukon Highway 5. It has 47 campsites, 1 of them pull-through. It also has a kitchen shelter, and an interpretive trail to the Tombstone Interpretive Centre. The nightly fee at Tombstone Mountain Campground, as at all Yukon Parks campgrounds, is $12, and includes firewood.

Tombstone Mountain Campground is open and fully serviced from May 15 until September 13 (in 2020). It is not gated in the off-season, though, and can be used. Snow is not plowed, and all campers must register (no fee), bring their own toilet paper and firewood, and pack out their garbage.
