Dies In Yukon After 46 Years

    Mrs. Isabella McPherson passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 9. Mrs. McPherson was born in Inverness-shire, Scotland, in 1875 and came to the Yukon as a bride in the spring of 1910. Since that time she has resided in Whitehorse.

    Surviving Mrs. McPherson are three daughters, Mrs. O. P. Williams, Mrs. G. Walin and Mrs. I. Scott, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; also four sisters and one brother in the old country. She was predeceased by her husband in 1944.

Funeral Rites Held For Pioneer, 1956

    Funeral services for the late Mrs. Isabella Jessie McPherson who passed away April 9 were held April 12 at 2:30 pm from the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. R. K. Anderson officiating. Interment followed in the family plot at the Whitehorse Cemetery. Gordon R. Wallden was in charge of funeral arrangements.
