Headline: Elder Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Porter Passes in Local Hospital, 1938

We regret to report the death of Ruth Mary Porter, "Pinky," which occurred at the local hospital at midnight Saturday at the age of 12 years and 4 months.

The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. G. A. Cross at Christ Church, Tuesday at 2 p. m., the pallbearers being Aubrey Simmons, Bruce Watson, Antoine Cyr and Fred Boss for whom "Pinky" had the greatest admiration and affection.

The many beautiful floral tributes which were contributed for the occasion and the large attendance at the church was a silent tribute of sympathy and respect to the bereaved ones. On behalf of all those who were unavoidably prevented from attending sincerest sympathy is expressed.
