Headline: Mr. Ludwig Swanson Passed Away Sunday, 1944

We regret having to report the death of Ludwig Swanson, which took place Sunday night at the local hospital where he had been a patient for the past few weeks. He was 82 years of age.

Born in Sweden, the late Mr. Swanson spent ten years in Pennsylvania, U. S. A., before coming north in the gold rush days of '98. For the past forty odd years he has been located at Ben-My-Chree, known to thousands of tourists the world over for its famous gardens.

The funeral services were held Tuesday at Christ Church, the Rev. L. G. Chappell officiating. To his sorrowing widow is extended sincerest sympathy in her great bereavement.
